⚠️ LESSONS TO LEARN FROM TODAY'S EDO STATE ELECTION
1. Election is never a do or die affair.
2. Campaigning on issues is better than using hunger as a lee and subtle way to win election. The hunger currently ongoing cannot be solved by a single Nigerian and Nigerians know this.
3. People no longer vote for party. They already know that all of PDP, APC, NNPP, APGA, LP and other parties are fragments of each other as the dramatis personae are all politicians who may switch camp whenever they want.
4. No party is synonymous with hunger and bad economy. It is an illusion to think that a political party is the cause of the situation we find ourselves currently.
5. Electorates are now wiser. They tend to vote for a preferred candidate than a political party.
6. Governor Obaseki has betrayed so many APC and PDP stalwarts and he has been paid back in his own coin.
7. Gov Obaseki speaks from both sides of his mouth. In 2020, he told Nigerians that Edo is not Lagos, hence, he is devoid of godfatherism. But in 2024, he nominated and sponsored the PDP candidate for this election. What else is the meaning of hypocrisy !
8. Voters are not swayed by emotional display and outburst anymore. They look before they leap.
9. Voters will prefer an intellectually low person who interacts with them than a highly over intelligent candidate who keeps them at arms length.
10. Most voters of the Edo election were online. They were actually 71% but sadly, most of them are never voters in Edo. Edo people spoke in reality.
11. There is a difference between realism and positivism. You can private chat me to know more of these theories. 😂
12. Elections can be free and fair if INEC really wants it. The people (voters) are stronger, desirous and willing.
13. Finally, the courts are still open for professional litigants in disputing elections. They have both judges and lawyers waiting for them outside the pitch.
14. Election results are not ludo or draft results. An election result is a product of realism rather than positivism.
Please stay tuned and await the announcement and declaration of the results by tomorrow Sunday the 22nd of September 2024.
Whether you're a PDP, APC, LP, NNPC, APGA, YPP or partyless member, stay healthy and avoid BP as you are not the one contesting or losing.
